Narbonne (F) @ Kosy Bar

With an amount of about 300 gigs with FREYGOLO, we haven't stepped foot in Narbonne (south west of France), so we blindly and trustfully accepted to play there with the band GRIP. The show conditions are not so glamourous but we've always tried to get along with the motivated youngsters that want to put a little action in their town!
Here we are at 6 pm at the Kosy bar. This is a classic bar, like we 've played a hundred times before... Football table, snooker, darts, beers, some bar joke signs and posters, and in the back a little room where the show's gonna happen tonight. We meet with the guys from GRIP then we go on soundchecking... three minutes later, the bar owner stops us, apparently we play way too loud for this place... Well we're not that loud but the ceiling is so high that the sound is reverbarating all over the place... We're not gonna be able to fix that kind of problem unless we suddenly get possesed by Mac Gyver's spirit and we build a soundtrap with a snooker and a piece of gum. We decided we'd better stopped soundchecking at this point, and that we'll figure something out when the audience would come in.
There's not much to do in Narbonne, so we settled outside ( to picture the whole thing there was 4 pieces of wood on the parking lot in front of the bar ) and start talking with the GRIP guys and half of the PARCEL BOMB guys that went to see us from Perpignan ( 1 hour away from Narbonne). At about 10:30 p.m, the first band starts playing, they play their rock n' roll to the 50 guys there that I would describe as rather enthusiastic.
And here we are, the Kosy is almost packed, the athmosphere is great and everybody 's in to party. But we're not gonna party that long... After 5 songs, the bar owner stops us. The music is still way too loud to him, and who gives a shit if the bar is packed and beer is flowing around??!!! "Everybody Out Now !"
Not only is he a complete dickhead, but he's also agressive as hell, the situation gets outta control in no time... We didn't want to beat the shim outta him ( not that that we didn't feel like it) but unfortunately, beating him won't get him any smarter, so we decided to load the van and leave this place before we changed our mind and started a fight. Poor Ermengarde of Narbonne, Saint of the troubadours, may your soul rest in peace!
